Our Business Tradition
Bourne's Auto Center opened on Belmont St in Easton in October of 2003. The concept was to be New England's largest independently owned pre-owned sales and service dealership. We moved from a smaller lot located at 606 Washington St in Easton, know as Bourne's Leasing and Sales. This lot carried roughly 50 vehicles and had one service bay. Prior to this location, the mainstay has been the 1029 Pearl St Location. This is where all Bourne Enterprises operations began. This location still serves as an integral part of our day to day operations. Â
Bourne's was founded by Basil Bourne. Bourne Transportation (also known as BoCo) was the largest freight trucking company on the East Coast. The trucking company served the Brockton Area known as Shoe City. Among some of Bourne's largest customers was Service Merchandise. Basil also started a vehicle leasing company and had close to 200 lease vehicles on the road in the early 80's. He leased vehicles to many of the businesses in the Brockton area. Basil's son, Calvin Bourne assumed all of the leasing operations, among other aspects of the business, in the eighties and obtained a dealer's license to retail the lease returns. In the mid 1990's Calvin's son, Jason Bourne used that dealer's license to began purchasing vehicles at auction and selling them at the Pearl St Location. In 1998 Jason opened his first retail location in Easton until it was outgrown in late 2003 and was moved to our current location.Â
At our current location we have close to 500 vehicles in stock on-site and at our 5 acre storage facility within 0.5 miles.
We are a full service dealership offering 20 service bays for all of your maintenance needs, a full body shop and all of our mechanics hold certifications in their respective field.
