The car is a pleasure in all respects except resale. In all types of weather I feel safe and comfortable. I have owned Mercedes-too soft and BMW- too hard; but the Audi is just right. It is easy to see all controls and operate them. It is also plenty fast. I have had no service issues and have used the dealer.…

I have owned 6 Audis and 5 BMW sedans and SUV. I like German engineering, style and ergonomics, generally. The electronic interface of the A8, however, is totally below expectations. It is slow to respond, slow to load, and glitchy. I have owned a Subaru Forester and Hyundai Santa Fe, and their electronics are quick and responsive. Though the A8 costs 3x as much, the company put in a cheap processor and probably insufficient memory to handle the programming load.
The V8 comes with 20 wheels for which only one type of all season tire is made. They are noisy tires in an otherwise silent car. They also blow out regularly. I had to buy 4 new 19: wheels and tires just to get the expected quiet of a 100k car. Oh, even the 19: wheels go out of balance regularly after encountering pot holes (but the blowouts have ceased, so far).
I have provided a critical review due to the high expectations when purchasing a premium vehicle that would otherwise be a world class car.…
