Solidly built mid size truck , comfortable ride

Very comfortable and quiet ride. Took this on a 9,500 mile round trip to Alaska and it proved reliable and comfortable.
It has a very quiet cabin and gas mileage on the highway can average 26+ mpg (V6). Thats surprising for such a solid vehicle. I am very happy with the vehicle but wished I had bought the 6 foot bed, it is more practical than a 5 foot bed.…
One of the best medium sized trucks.

Honest mileage in my diesel on a cross-country trip was 30 mph. I towed a 4,500 lb Airstream on a 7,000 mile trip last summer and averaged just under 15 mpg. I am using it as a work truck and average about 22 mpg around town - stop and go traffic. The truck is very safe and solid for towing - the air brake is excellent. Comfort and cabin noise is excellent - as good or better than most new passenger vehicles. I have used the 4wd on some dirt roads and it works very well. The truck does not have high clearance so I would not take it on really rough terrain without adding skid plates and lifting it.…
2017 GMC 2.8 turbo diesel Canyon

I bought the truck used with 20k miles. It was exactly what I was looking for a mid size truck with towing capacity. My first impressions of it are that GMC definitely has the truck game going on. Interior is comfortable, have taken several 500 mile trips and feel fine after being in it driving for hours. The interior layout makes sense switches are easily reached and creature comforts are there at the SLT level. The Diesel is the bomb. On the highway it averages 28 to 32mpg, based on how much of a lead foot I am that day. that gives it a range over 500 miles on a single fill. The engine has plenty of pep and not the annoying diesel clatter, so many have come to associate with a diesel. So getting out in traffic is without any problem. I tow a 19 ft boat around, weight 3000 or so and the truck does it without effortlessly. Fuel mileage towing drops to 19mpg. The transmission shifts great. I recently retiled my home and was making 1000lb bed loads of tile the truck did it without any incident.…
